The ‘No Excuse’ Summer Athletic Development Plan

The Hart athletic staff recently met and developed a ‘no excuse’ summer schedule that should allow all athletes to participate in off-season athletic development that fits into their schedules and address their individual needs.  We understand the importance of continuing training in the off-season so have joined together as a complete staff to offer ample opportunities for our athletes.  Athletes will have the chance to tailor workouts to fit their needs and have various members of the coaching staff their all year opening facilities and providing workout options.

Starting the first full week out of school (June 8th-12th) we will have the weight room and athletic facilities open to all athletes multiple times throughout the week during the entire summer break to help our athletes grow and develop.  We do ask that only those athletes entering the 6th grade or older participate in the weight room workouts, but all athletes are invited to attend Tuesday & Thursday workouts, as well as the open gym times. The schedule will be as follows:

Monday – 8am-10am & 6:30pm-8:30pm / weight room and open gym

Tuesday – 8am-9am Mike Braid Workouts

Wednesday – 8am-10am & 6:30pm-8:30pm / weight room and open gym

Thursday – 6pm-8pm plyometric, speed, agility workouts

Friday – 8am-10am weight room

The MHSAA mandated dead week will be June 29th – July 5th.  During this week we will have no facilities open for any athletes.  Please watch for an upcoming schedule of summer camps and workouts for each specific sport in the coming weeks.  If you have any questions regarding summer scheduling and workouts please contact the Hart Athletic office.  We look forward to seeing you and/or your children this summer as we continue to raise the standard of the Hart athletic programs!
