The Varsity Men’s Soccer team has a rocky start as they fell behind by 2 goals within the first 10 minutes… it was all Hart from then on as the team rallied back to win 5-2. Justin Reyes got the team started off of a Kyan Clark (yes the goalie) assist. The next two were scored by Rigo Rangel as he refused to be denied by Reed City’s goalie any longer. Tony Rayo and Hector Perez assisted Rigo. Following the Pirates strikers struggled to find the back of the net. They seemed to have gotten goals and field goals confused… or forgot the objective was to shoot away from the keeper. Jesse Rodriguez finally broke the drought scoring a top left corner laser off of a well-crafted Bryce Jorissen assist. Finishing the scoring was Delfino Hernandez, who chased down the pass to restart the game and scored not even 30 seconds after Jesse. The Defense did a great job denying Reed City good opportunities after the initial 10 minutes. Kyan Clark posted 5 saves in net off of 7 shots. The Pirates will play Big Rapids next Tuesday for the District Semi-Final.
