The Pirate’s slow start to the game proved to be too much to overcome. Manton jumped out to an early lead with early 3’s and layups off turnovers to jump out to a 19-4 advantage after 1 quarter.

Manton continued to play well on both sides of the ball in the second quarter pushing the lead to 30-9. Hart found its offensive footing and scored the final 8 points of the half. Hart began the 3rd quarter with Munoz making a three and Nicole Rockwell had 6 quick points on to triple makes cutting the lead to 6. However Manton was able to score the final 6 points of the quarter and pushed the lead to 12.

In the 4th quarter Manton was able to run an effective stall and made their Free Throws at the end of the game to secure the victory.

Rockwell led the way with 17 points, Rylee Noggle added 8 points and 10 rebounds.

Hart finishes the season with a 19-5 record, 3rd most wins in school history, and won their second straight district championship.

The community should be proud of how these girls played and represented Hart all season long. Thank you to our fans who made the long trip to Grayling, we truly have the best fans.

To the seniors, Paige, Xasha, Rikke, Taylor, and Nicole, you have left Hart Girls Basketball in a better place than you found it. Your contributions and commitment will be missed but your legacy will live on.
